Агенцията получи четири нови, напълно оборудвани патрулни лодки с модерна навигация и висок клас двигатели, които са на разположение за теренни проверки. Те ще бъдат използвани за нуждите на контрола във водните територии на България.

„Инвестираме в модерна техника, защото ефективният контрол изисква надеждно оборудване и бърза реакция. Новите лодки ще ни дадат още по-големи възможности да защитаваме рибните ресурси и да противодействаме на нарушенията“, заяви изпълнителният директор на ИАРА Христо Панайотов.

През следващите месеци се очаква Агенцията да получи и четири специализирани автомобила 4x4, затворена моторна лодка с ремарке и дрон с термокамера. По проект BioGuard - ROBG00018 под името: Опазване на биологичното разнообразие и борба с бракониерството, по програмата Interreg VI-A Румъния-България, финансирана от Европейския фонд за регионално развитие (ЕФРР).
